Hopeless Romantic
I wake up like everyone else,
Walk step by step,
Like everyone else.
But when it comes to love
I have no regard
For how hard
I could fall.
This blind heart that I have
Takes me fantasies my mind dares
To go—
Because my mind knows,
No!
He won't treat you like that,
Love you like that,
Won't leave you—like that.
Oh yeah, he'll go,
My mind says so
My heart will know,
Those dream filled fantasies, don't even go
There girlfriend
You are at it again,
The way you slip, it should be a sin
Or a crime
So that you can do time.
But I'm slipping fast
His voice has
That soothing roll
That I feel in my toes,
One hello, “Hello,”
Damn, why was I mad?
His story seems iron clad.
I'll catch him next time,
Right now he’s mine
Until it’s time
To pretend I’m hard
And I don’t worship him like a god.
This love is fraud,
Now his memory is void
From my mind,
I don’t need his kind
Around me
But when he
Decides to smile my way
I’ll have to say,
I missed you,
Did you miss me too?
Let’s kiss and make up,
A night filled with love and lust.
Let’s fall in love again,
Like when
We first became friends
And you ruined me for other men.
My heart you wanted to win
And you did,
Like taking candy from a kid,
My feelings couldn’t stay hid.
Yeah, let’s do that again
So I can commit my sin…
