Here’s my motivation for writing this poem.
When you go through a break up with someone and you know deep down that this person still has strong feelings for you, but for whatever reason, does not want to commit so they leave. They then jump back into the dating scene, but that foolish pride won’t let them come back, so they continue to live a lie, going through relationship after relationship, meaningless encounter after meaningless encounter, hoping that each one will erase your memory. You sit back and painfully watch them do this to themselves, and to you. And you wonder…when are they going to get tired.
